Head out on this 7.1-km loop trail near Glenroe / Ballyeighter, County Clare. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 48 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.

This is a lovely trail suitable for hikers of all fitness levels. The terrain changes constantly, it has a truly mystical feel when among the hazel trees. There are numerous beautiful sights to see, including a holy well, a burial tomb, an erratic stone altar, and a variety of fauna and flora. After rain, the rocks become extremely slippery, therefore suitable hiking equipment is needed. At the start of the trail, the farmer provides walking sticks, which are well worth taking. In a nutshell, this lovely looped trail begins low, passing through woodlands and gradually ascending to stunning views. The walk features a green road, a well, a stream, a lake, as well as green fields and hazel woods. Naturally, farm animals are included.
